River Run Outfitters is a full line fly fishing shop located in Branson on Highway 165, about 1/2 mile north of the Dam and some of the best wading area.  Branson, one of the countries favorite family entertainment destinations, is approximately 40 miles south of Springfield, MO, on Highway 65. Branson sits on the banks of Lake Taneycomo, which is one of the premier trout fishing lakes in the midwest and ranks among the top trout fishing spots in the entire U.S.

River Run Outfitters is owned and operated by Stan and Carolyn Parker, each of whom have fished the area lakes and rivers for over 40 years. Customer satisfaction is the most important thing we have to offer. Well, that and one of the best varieties of fly fishing equipment for both the fisher man and woman.  With manufacturers such as Orvis, Sage, Temple Fork, Galvan, Lamson, Ross, Simms, Hodgman, Winston, and many more, you will find products which are serviceable, and that will do the job.  River Run also carries a wide line of fly tying materials, gifts, and many functional accessories, as well as the just "gotta have" items for the fly fisher. 

Guide Service

Experience the quiet side of Branson, Missouri.  River Run Outfitters provides an experience not generally thought of in the area….a guided fly fishing trip for Rainbow and Brown trout in the crystal clear, cool waters of the Taneycomo section of the White River.  We provide both full day or half day walk/wade trips or a drift down the river in a western-style drift boat.  These boats are widely used on the western streams and rivers and perfect for the waters we have in the Taneycomo portion of the White River.  They are specifically designed for fly fishing; very stable and manuver easily in the shallow areas of Taneycomo as well the faster water during generation.   We can also customize a trip based on the size of your party or the amount of time you want to spend on the river. 

River Run Outfitters has 7 guides, 5 men and 2 women.  All of these guides are excellent instructors and are always ready to share their knowledge and passion for fly fishing with others.    From the seasoned fly fisher to the  "always wanted to learn how" fisher to be, we will make certain it is an experience to remember.  All equipment is provided.

Cabins for Rent - With the Fly Fisher in Mind

We have just recently added a couple log cabins to the rear of our shop.  These cute as a "bug" cabins are the Mayfly and Caddis.  No, we are not getting into the nightly rental business.  Just added a couple cabins as a convenience for our customers.  They are less than five minutes drive to the water.  One could almost walk to the river! 

All cabins have a queen bed, bath with shower, full size sofa hide-a-bed, dining table, microware, coffee maker, 4.3 cubic foot refrigerator, Cable TV w/DVD, WiFi, and outdoor grill and picnic tables.
